We're strongly considering winding down narrowcasting. 

It's consistently less than 1% of all casts in channels.

yeah there's def some casts I think would work better as narrow casts, just that not enough people are using it like that for some reason 

e.g. customer support questions for a company that can be casted in the company's channel where employees see it

the idea of narrowcasted @ mentions to users rather than to channels could be a good evolution of narrowcasts imo - acting as a public dm but without polluting timelines
