Yeah, as much shit they got for it, this feature is useful because people are careless with their seed phrase storage and shit happens

I know someone who lost six figs because theirs reset

ledger got less shit than they deserved, they lied the secret phrase was irrecoverable and no-one can access it before that stunt. Turns out THEY can. Also if I was to *trust* any company with my key, that company wouldn't be the same one that leaked my personal data. so no.

Yes, I agree with this sentiment as well. Wouldn't have gotten a ledger in 2016 if I knew.

But we're here now and I acknowledge the recovery is useful for most people.

I'll never use it though because I store my seed phrase in pieces like Voldemort did with his soul. If my ledger resets, I will have to go on a journey that is more valuable than what's stored on the wallet
