re, allowance lending, I figure there are two directions to go: manual or automatic. for manual, I choose the tipping delegates and we grow The Society of Wise Tippers slowly, one by one. Else, automatic and delegates opt-in via some front end. There should be terms, too. Tippers should agree to donate some percentage to me, for taking the risk, and to Degenpad to reliably fund new projects.

If we can nail down the tip-split (ie, prevent users from deleting tips, whatever's needed to make that money flow reliable) and enough users participate, that could produce some nice yield, for me and for Degenpad (or wherever). So now I'm imagining Wake Bank supports thousands of decent tippers and is earning me a good percentage of tips. That could be attractive to other whales. Maybe we make it so they can participate too, adding their money, growing the tip delegation pool. I'd earn less and that's good Figure this is the start of Degen Tipping Defi (name needs work) 🎩

Going further, maybe we set a "choose who to support" checklist during onboarding, ala @memecaster.eth's donation automation. If automatic, those users should expect to donate a higher percentage to whitelisted recipients. For trusted people added manually, more favorable terms. But imagine if this is STABLE and popular. That guarantees some percentage of tips for Degen development. If we can focus that /enough/ it doesn't really matter how the remainder gets used (ie, stolen, farming) -- we get the work we want.

Curious if you’re referring to that concept of a parallel vesting program here (ie. any user being able to delegate degen to others for a “tax”) or rather the overarching new approach to allocation? If the former I definitely would go manual

If you can’t afford staking what is the incentive to not immediately dump on claim day? Can you make it so tips received is locked up for the next season (up to the amount lent)?

It definitely makes sense that if your lent degen led to a much higher allocation for someone, that a chunk of that allocation goes back to you for providing that leverage and for the risk of your capital allocation, will definitely be fascinating to see all the ways that the degen game changes the next season, I’m definitely very curious to see how different staking amounts contribute to a shift in the ranks and allocations, I wonder how much it will change or if it will just feel similar to what it is currently, I do like the idea of being rewarded for skin in the game, I just wonder how steep the drop will be between each tier 100 $degen

that's interesting! But it really depends on how much allowance we're gonna get for the stake. From what I know, the max is 10k. So, how much do we need to stake? How much stake does it take to get that leftover percentage after the Autotip? is it worth borrowing and giving a percentage like this? Or what percentage would make it worthwhile for the borrower?
