@greatgambino.eth has some meat to gnaw on: @razdva has realigned his network to dump allowances on Perl, presumably to thwart [ded...] and exit with bags intact. Now, @perl is aware and already taking action (their game, their discretion)... By pivoting, did razdva discover acceptable practice or is this still misconduct?

To me it’s misconduct because of what preceded it and the fact that the ENTIRE allowances were sent to Perl. Not a single degen was tipped to a creator, builder, supporter, etc. Literally just trying to cash out lol. I play with Perl too because it’s fun. But I use maybe 10% of my allowance

This one was a clear pivot to cash out because they were caught. If they honestly put it into perl and start betting, well that’s up to @ace and @peter and I trust that they have rails in place to make sure it’s good faith. I’m hoping they will pivot to @degenpad and contribute to funding ITOs. That would be a nice ending to this story of farmer turned funder.

It feels bad because its clear they only want to extract value from the system and they've gone to additional lengths to do so. and i personally associate that kind of behavior with scammers and the worst types of people. staking seems to be the only thing that determines allocations this season and i think that is part of the issue. there is no social ranking that can be used to deter this behavior. the rules are purely financial and these people are entitled to their degen allocation based on the amount they've staked.

$degen is not being used for its stated purpose, so it’s misconduct. They aren’t breaking the letter of the law, but the spirit. The tip game is broken if the purpose of $degen is still to create quality content. People think of tips as yield in stake-for-allowance (ie individual benefit, not community benefit). If instead, the stake could be slashed for bad behaviour…you’d have Less bad behaviour.

This is a tougher one for me because people should be able to spend their allowance supporting FC apps. But it could have a negative impact on the overall system too. I think in this case it’s a little easier because it’s obvious the dude is only doing it to try and circumvent moderation. But what if someone else just wants to blow their allo gambling? Tough one.

Welp the good thing about perl is they have a Nice system imo. You can't just directly Cash out your Perl. You need to bet it and pray you win. If in a scenario that they won, well they earned it? Tho i propose that you can't tip all your degen allowance to perl maybe a portion of the allowance only? I trust in @ace and @peter btw to handle the situation.

yeah, it's happening and you can't really blame it. Why? Because if someone like me did it, no one would care. Yeah, because it wasn't a big allowance. But now everyone is worried, which makes sense. Big allowances are in the hands of those who got it just for 'personal profit.' When the only way to get a big allowance is to stake a lot, this outcome is totally predictable. People come for 'money to make money,' and not for the project, the ecosystem, the artist, or anyone else.
