More generally, we probably want to give "free access" to great public goods contributors.

since we want ppl to actually vote and be engaged with nouns, I think it might be better to imagine specific people. for example, would trent or tim who engaged with us in the past be willing to accept a noun if gifted?

why not access the collective? More voices behind each noun is ultimately preferable, no?

I don't know if PG is a multisig that can vote together? But also we haven't seen much success in groups voting together and would rather have someone passionate participate with their own voice

while I love individual ppl in nouncil, as a voting group its legitimacy likely declined through season 2

sorry that likely came off wrong. i still think nouncil is the gold standard where it comes to group voting. but my impression (with love) is that compared to season 1, season 2 vote participation started to have challenges.

We hold discussions and vote on every single Nouns DAO proposal, generally with 40+ Nouncillors participating in each one. The only voter in Nouns DAO with a participation higher than Nouncil is @noun12.

granted I don’t have 100% of the context but I don’t see how one can see nouncil as anything but a shining light the amount of hours/thought/coordination per vote cast has to be highest of any in the dao

We have 100+ people voting on hundreds of proposals. Our internal vote participation is very healthy. I don't understand the criticism.

possibly most astounding metric to note(given nouncils forced churn) is that member retention vastly exceeds Nouns dao proper: 85 % vs 45% 🤯
