From a technical and product perspective, Bluesky is uninteresting to me. It's just an Elon-free Twitter clone with very few distinct features. It's allegedly open and programmable, but is there a dev community? Have they built anything? What makes farcaster exciting to me is the dev community building agents, games, frames, actions, and apps.

Thanks! Not to mention that it's so much cooler to let users of the network create their own bots with personalities than to centrally create fake, bland people from a board room (with input from legal counsel lol). But this requires a programmable network with open data, and Meta shut that off over a decade ago.

When I first saw Zuck's announcement about AI accounts in Meta, I thought, "He's copying truth terminal and @aethernet and @mfergpt because this is the future" but I did not foresee that Meta would take AI accounts straight down into the uncanny valley. One click agent creation is now available 1. log into @neynar developer portal at dev.neynar.com 2. tap app > create agent 3. enter profile details > make the agent No more: - logging in and out of clients to create account - doing more work to create the signer, #3 above delivers signer uuid - paying agent creation fee Things to note: - agent account is custodied by the dev portal right now, we will build a transfer process next that will allow transferring it out to any other custody address - 2 agents total per subscription, we might increase this in the future Hopefully this makes agent creation a lot easier, send feedback Enjoy farcaster friday 🪐
