This is the rarely-expressed exact opposite of DST abolition: literally do micro-DST every single day to keep local time adjusted to sunrise (though I would just do sunrise = 0:00). I actually... kinda respect it? Some precedent in ancient chinese timekeeping:

What if we went radically the other direction and simply got used to the sun being at different positions everywhere on earth at different times? Itโ€™s not like a majority still winds their watch and syncs it up with the village clock tower while walking to lunch from work anymore We could just make UTC global

This makes much more sense to do daily micro bump rather whole hour as humans who clock into shifts need an additional 2 weeks to get back in a comfortable routine to keep the same clock

But if we begin with sunrise at 0:00, where there is no sunrise, for the sun is up all night (above the polar circle), or, in the winter, never rises, there would be no time at all ๐Ÿคฏ

But the sun rises at different times everywhere in the time zone, so you'd be abolishing time zones, which would be bad

I like this kind of thinking. But this breaks badly at northern latitudes. Also wreaks havoc on meeting scheduling with other time zones
