went through this report. hereโs what i found fascinating (horrific?): - RXBARS (which i never ate bc they always got stuck in my teeth) has the highest level of DEHP, a liquid used to make PVC softer and more flexible - one (just one!!) boba tea from Boba Guys has the equivalent of 1.2 years of safe daily BPA consumption; commonly used in plastic and epoxy and an endocrine disruptor - Diet Coke and Whole Foods organic chicken breast had the highest levels of BBP, a phthalate, often used to make plastics and banned in kids toys and cosmetics; the chicken threw me through a loop โ could be due to packaging, processing equipment, chicken feed, etc. - both Straus and Clover Organic Whole Milk had the highest levels of DMP, commonly used as insect repellent; makes sense if it is used against livestock flies on cows, but still bad - hot food in a takeout container had 5x the amount of DIBP compared to the same exact food served straight on a plate; DIBP is low volatility plasticizer

Half my health problems disappear in Japan. Iโm convinced the American food supply chain is poisoned and itโs slowly killing us. Iโve been back for a handful of days, cooking all my own food and I feel like shit all over again.

Every time I go to America I feel shit when i eat most of the foods. I reazlied the only way to get over it is to walk however long it takes to a super market and stock up on fruits&veggies, and bring my own oats... Better to eat oatmeal for a week than whatever the other stuff is ๐

Even the fruits are sometimes worrying USDA organic standards are well below European standards, and the US still permits the use of pesticides, glyphosates, and food additives that are banned in many other parts of the world

Itโs so true. Iโm paying extra to be poisoned. Itโs really frustrating to spend so much money on food and get a stomach ache the moment I get back home. I really thought I was lactose intolerant and I went to Japan and drank milk and ate ice cream and had dairy every single day. I was totally fine. Came back to the US 1st cup of milk with lactose in it and I felt terrible so Iโm just not good with American milk and itโs so frustrating.
