My take is if the Hillsong Church members were a highly creative, highly productive, and highly collaborative group of developers and product people then this reference makes sense

Otherwise its just petty and pointless

I like this take, much more positive than what that original post seemed to insinuate

i see it like l1s are a traditional church with stained glass windows and priests with long cloaks etc 

and base is the cool hip version of the traditional church with neon lights, *vibes* and pastors who wear high top js
