This movie was impactful for me and I started watching it around 6 years old. It’s intense but not over-the-top. Have probably seen it 100 times. They don’t make them like this anymore

Still haunts me. Re-watched it recently and honestly the brutality and the ‘bright eyes’ song still conspire to create a flurry of rusty shiv soul stabs deeper and more numerous than three newsnight specials about demetia in puppies. Also the seagull swears. Kids today mumble mumble
