This outbreak was very well forecast, and the NWS had forecast a very high chance of severe storms, they actually underperformed in terms of intensity in Alabama and later in the day

100 percent for solid funding of NWS, just would prefer the reporting doesn’t use natural disasters to make the argument.

I agree; sensationalism undermines the message by creating an easy straw man to target from the opposition.

Instead of encouraging bi-partisan discourse over the actual topic re: resource allocation for essential services.
