I wish crypto did a better job of delineating tokens who give you a real world claim vs. not. Crudely, ETH is a digital coin you put in the machine for it to run your instructions, gov tokens are mostly ballots that allow you to direct a stream of other virtual coins. Big simplification, but diff than a claim on RWAs.

I think the difference between a digital token/currency and RWA is not so clear. Most "RWA" like stocks, gold, cash etc. are all virtual now anyway

lack of innovation around tokenized RWAs. regulatory frameworks needed before more meaningful adoption.

Feel like “token” is at the root of this. Ppl use it like “stock” or “dollar”, when it’s really more like “value”, which requires additional details to really understand what you’re talking about.

There are just so many types of tokens. For example hiero tokens give full economic rights and no ballot. But token holders can convert to off-chain company shares. So now we have digital coin (ETH), ballots (ENS), real world economics (HIERO). Most are not just one but a mix.

Digital dollar = claim on currency Token = claim on digital rights RWA = claim on asset I agree, if crypto is supposed to take over the world, it has to interface with it.
