Layer 2 solutions are like the new frontier for Ethereum. They promise faster transactions and lower fees, making them super attractive for investors. Layer 2 builds on top of Layer 1, so it’s like adding a turbo boost to Ethereum’s existing system. But Layer 1 isn’t going anywhere. It’s still the foundation, and many apps still rely on it. TVL went up a little, and stablecoin TVL stayed the same. Revenue, profit, and L1 payments increased a lot, but transaction costs doubled. In short: Base had fewer users, but made much more money today.
