Today, I'm working on Structure. Which is necessary if you truly want to slow down. Without structure, life becomes a rush. Which can be fun for a time. But ultimately leads to more and more burnout. Habits, routines, plans, themes. All various ways I craft structure into my life, without rigidity, so that I can flow with ease rather than rush through painful rapids.

Thank you for naming that! I’ve been making peace and playing with Structure for many years now. First, I had to create structure to thrive in freelancing but it was mainly borrowing from 9-to-5 routines, which lead to similar expectations (even if self imposed 😬). After a while, and unsurprisingly, it started to feel constrictive and my brain started to rebel against it. Now I invite Structure into my days and creative practice as you said: with flexibility. In a playful way, even. The frameworks, habits and routines are there as a guide. This way, Structure becomes a playground and feels liberating, and tend to lead to my best work.
