Unironically, this is also how startups work You have to deeply believe in the new reality you’re building, act as if it’s inevitable, and eventually “the Universe starts to believe you” Just make sure your deity is not AGI though 🤣

The difference between the Con Artist and the Entrepreneur is parallel to the difference between the Magician and the Scientist: One leaves space to grow into truth and the other remains forever trapped in a trick.

Agreed, but slight caveat that the cosmic magic @thecurioushermit is talking about is different from the performative magic that just tricks people

@thecurioushermit do you have a link to a cast or article explaining what cosmic magic is? I hadn't heard of it.

Not really. It's just what has evolved from years of searching and exploring a huge variety of spiritual paths and practices, and deciding to go heretical on all of them, make up my own deity, and see what happens. It's really mostly focused on refinement of the self, a total detachment from "belief", and simply playing the game the Universe created for us to play. The practices I do "work" regardless of belief, and as the self is refined, the universe responds, and I couldn't particularly say why or how except that my own conclusion is we're just the universe figuring out what it wants to be, so the better we get to know and refine ourself, the better it responds to us.
