The fact that Google docs doesn’t have / shortcut to add titles, h1, h2, and code blocks makes me more mad that I should be

this type of nuisances ended up for me in a way that I now use all the stuff. But, except from the two rather steep-curve products such as Roam and Obsidian—yes people have hard time with these in the beginning—my fav ones are: HackMD, Cryptpad. I really do not like Notion either even if it's a like a Minecraft for average productivity flow re: everything.

it does have shortcuts for those. CMD + OPT + 1 and so on.

when basically every writing app lets you use markdown shortcuts this is a massive fail for google docs. so irritating

It gets me every time. This should be an obvious addition by now.

The amount of low hanging fruit missing in that product is so painful. But obviously there’s gotta be a reason (why tf can’t I write in the margins…)
