I don't mean this as shade or in any disrespectful way, but I just scrolled through and didn't see any replies. Do people expect that just by continuing to post without engaging other users their following will grow automatically? Is that how they experienced their start on any other social media platform?

I think with minimal effort towards facilitating conversation, this account could get way more distribution and drive more attention to their Rodeo posts. Every one of these Rodeo posts is an interesting little visual essay, but: 1) there's not much context 2) there's not much engagement with others 3) they are all in the /rodeo-club channel, which limits distribution ...so I would keep casting but change up the strategy.

don’t think posting exclusively rodeo links without context would work on twitter either imo casting about the underlying idea/message/whatever and then getting folks to mint would do well here much easier to convert on a cheap mint in-feed with frames than posting links on twitter and getting downranked

Imo I don’t think he should cast anymore until he learns how to cast and engage? I’m sure he doesn’t post this same way on X to get interaction from anyone. You either make effort then complain than not make any effort at all. He should come back for tutoring.

It depends on what they want....I think these 'arguments' for FC are different for different people. Read this as if I'm your coach, wanting nothing but for you to succeed: 1K followers on Twitter & almost no engagement. Posted here & have almost no engagement. Bio here says, "building tools to help writers" but no posts related to that bio-- just repeated posts on rodeo that are hard to connect to. No engagement w/ others. Twitter bio says "brand voice is the moat" There is a big disconnect b/w stated interests & posts. I'm not mad or trying to be mean! 👊 just trying to be real w/ limited space. So, the argument for FC is: if you either want to find yourself & your place or if you want to build your presence based on these bios, then FC has an engaged community ready to support people truly doing those things (& w/ broader interests). And then we can help & encourage you with the 'how' of doing that on FC far more than anyone is going to help or encourage you on X.

People that need too much attention is best to ignore them, he’ll be back all by himself, there’s no better social experience out there.
