Voorhees defending in the replies that it was all clear upfront that the team had unlocked tokens to sell on day 1. Essentially saying that people complaining are suckers who should have better read the fine print. The whole of crypto needs two, maybe three tokens top. And they’ve already existed for ten years.

My take is a bit more nuanced. Vorhees stating that the team had 12% of the tokens, and 25% was unlocked immediately after a year of work (therefore 3% of total supply) stems from tradfi norms of vesting cliffs. What he's missing is that this isn't even being done like tradfi: this wasn't broadly disclosed in advance in any way whereas in tradfi these types of events are published well in advance (like IPOs, identified individuals with large holdings, for example). On top of this, the product is a lie. It's not private AI, there are no real means of preserving privacy any different than OpenAI or others.

bought in thinking it was a pretty novel token-based business model that made sense (now down ~60%) definitely bad optics, but more concerned that the team will be checked out (cashed out) and that'll kill any chance of a recovery may stake what i have left for the apy

was kinda obvious to me when I saw the chart movements typical scheme - huge airdrops - creating virality with everyone posting how much they got - massive fomo of folks buying in - chart is still not moving up due to snipers and what we know now to be mostly team another case for launching your token with clanker

There hasn’t been such an obvious scam in a long time—especially on Coinbase. Down 5x in a week. The team exited at the highs while offering 500% APY to holders just for keeping their tokens. Based🙉
