imo one of the most underrated and overlooked warpcast features (unless the objective of critcism) that will pay of in dividends in years ahead and allow them to compete with traditional social giants when the time comes: its machine learning algorithm discoverability is key to a great distribution infrastructure

current state of crypto discoverability is absolute shit; it is either botted or overly contingent upon KOLs / cabals / token incentives or entirely nonexistent in an app warpcast WILL be the default consumer crypto distribution infrastructure for both devs and users

What I would like to see one day is a marketplace of algos; some open, others proprietary; some free, some license-based. The idea being that the user starts with a default algo (maybe same as today’s), but can opt to choose a different one to bias their feed for certain types of content (account size or reputation, language, tone/voice, topics, political leaning, age groups, etc). That to me would be the final unlock for a proper permissionless onchain social platform

I was surprise to read > machine learning algorithm However, I agree discovery is, and always was, a big problem to solve as the medium of communication shifts. Just not sure how ML algos are the solution.

I agree, but I think the art will be to keep the algo aiding discovery rather than shaping the user. We have to avoid demographic design, start from the user, reframe the web as ‘for’ the experiencer not the sponsors of the experience. Blockchain should ensure the privacy and data ownership actually works, so it us up to us to make tools that are exactly that, rather than the current paradigm of tools that are things that shape us. Shit should be like play, not persuasion.
