imo one of the most underrated and overlooked warpcast features (unless the objective of critcism) that will pay of in dividends in years ahead and allow them to compete with traditional social giants when the time comes:

its machine learning algorithm

discoverability is key to a great distribution infrastructure

I was surprise to read

However, I agree discovery is, and always was, a big problem to solve as the medium of communication shifts. 

Just not sure how ML algos are the solution.

ok, yeah, that I see. i imagine you include blockchain activity under 'open'. I see self-selection becoming a prominent thing in certain areas but think ML assisted self-selection is definitely a big thing too.

a strong ML algo is bare minimum to compete, not silver bullet.

tiktok won over the world with its ML algo, which made discovery (not following) the primary interface. users constantly discovering fresh content, creators getting engagement without any followers, etc.
