Oof, at least backpacking in Europe is something that everyone should (or at least can) do vs. everyone thinking they're cut out to be a founder

entrepreneurship is at least an order of magnitude harder than most people think living off of a trust fund while you pretend to be one doesn’t count.

Umm I'd say that's certainly not the case - we are just active in a hyperniche place called Farcaster where a ton of people are devs/founders Sometimes I have to go to TJs and talk to people there to come back to earth

https://nomadlist.com proof that this is true. “Nomading” is the new backpacking. Not entrepreneurship

our generation's adventure is less about where we go and more about what we build (on the internet). the last bit is pretty important because that's where the money went. for ppl 5+ years younger than me it seems rather reasonable to travel the world and build remotely

backpacking in europe feels like something someone would do when they are not sure what to do next (which is not a bad thing, taking time to choose a direction is good), but being a founder feels like the complete opposite
