I've actually never felt more seen. I've never made money here. Creating and working to grow DepressiveHacks has definitely been a net loss. However, I continue to see progress and hope to make money in web3 someday from my writing and my business background.

What @torii-stories and @tn100x.eth said. People hate being ripped off and crypto is inextricably connected to scams, volatile meme coins, and endless stories of supposed experts getting rugged, losing their passphrases to wallets containing their crypto life-savings, getting social engineered. The entire nation's collective consciousness just watched Trump's and Melania's meme coins get pumped and drained by day traders. It's not financial gain retail users are looking for. It's avoiding financial ruin.
