also the deal includes the Unwell Network, aka it isn't just CHD as a podcast but the new Alix Earle Hot Mess podcast (cult following) and whomever else she signs

if siriusXM is also an ad-funded extractive biz model, is that still a role-model for boysclub to go after such a deal? Would it not be better to make 0.1x and make $12.5M via mechanisms where everyone across the stack incl. listeners earn?

I feel like all of these big podcast deals have failed (for the network) and the shows have been released.

I feel like sirius has the upper hand here just based on the fact that it is literally programmed into so many vehicle straight out of the dealership and has a low monthly sub fee (even though it’s hell to cancel).
