re: upcoming potential TikTok ban, rednote is a flash in the pan. creators will end up where viewers and $$ are: meta and YT. they’ll want platforms that are deep in western markets; rednote hasn’t invested at all in the US (changing UI to english doesn’t matter). this played out in 2020 with india’s ban.

+1 rednote couldn't care less about tiktok creators. their current user base (chinese-speaking users) is strong + an endless amount of nuanced content. the real winner of the tiktok ban is probably something that we already use everyday.
