Superpower announced a $30M round, claiming it is 10x better than an annual physical: > at-home / in-person lab draw > 100+ labs + data visualization > medical records in app > personalized action plan > 24/7 help only dif between this and now-defunct Forward is that Forward had brick + mortar locations 🤔

considering how much trad healthcare costs and the decaying trust in that system, i'm all about things like this. i had a one medical subscription for a while. i am a big proponent of the occasional IV drip as well. it's sad that we can't just go to the dr. but here we are. what do you think?

i think world of doctors will always end up requiring physical locations. Everything online is not ideal for the largest population cohort (folks 50+) who are not tech aware + have language barriers. I think a better comparison here is Function rather than Forward

I bet this will be overpriced compared to the value of a good natural concierge doctor, but I do love charts

Sounds enticing but I'm forever skeptical of random private companies having all of my exact health data. Are they subject to HIPAA laws, or would they just share my data with partners/the highest bidder? And what happens if they close down like 23andme did? I love the idea of something like this but I also scare myself the more I think about it 😵‍💫

Our local doctors have been fairly worthless for my wife and kids in terms of diagnosing and treating their allergies. My primary concern, though, would be about the data storage and ownership. If the data could be transferred encrypted and stored locally, I'd be much more on board.
