to me, talking about /higher as a token and as an easy trade undermines its status + strength as a brand the most successful brands are built by teams passionate about a vision and creating something new + valuable; without regard for price which is often just a distraction intrinsic vs extrinsic motivation matters

I think these can exist together quite well actually, and crypto empowers this in a way we’ve never really seen before Startup founders and investors can often talk about their startup having a huge outcome, i think this is not too different

Because the brand is headless, we gotta be OK with some people talking about it in ways we wouldn’t Higher is no one’s Higher is everyone’s

I guess it's just a new phenomenon where financial and marketing crews AND consumers all hang around the same water cooler all after all, it's interesting that proxy is based on fundamentals, which is believing in a brand that is stronger each passing day. if it where pure technical, it'd be a different story.

I understand this take. You feel like this is reducing the brand to nothing but a price which cheapens it. But I'd look at it more as one aspect of the brand rather than a reduction of it. Also proxy's fund is literally called Mercenary Capital lol, so this is on-brand for them

It’s an interesting point. I’ve been part of “headless brands” where no one felt like they had agency/incentive to act because others had much higher token balances. For a tokenized brand to work, we need to inspire action in every single token holder. Otherwise it’s just PvP (like a typical memecoin).

yeah but @proxystudio.eth has tokenbrain and has no respect for anyone building anything other than a token 🙃

Interesting traditionalist take 🧐 1/ I totally get what you mean and where that feeling comes from - from “a consumer with taste” perspective 2/ I think it misses at the important point though -> all famous brands teams had people speculating on higher (pun intended) price funding them 🤷‍♂️

You on YouTube as one of few who.pop up on farcaster is a detriment to everyone investing in this experiment. You push a view that if I would have seen I would have not come here

1. merc is basically a hedge fund. it invests in things it believes are underpriced. there are many hedge funds that invest in your favorite brands. 2. saying most brands are built without regards for price is a pretty big claim. any examples?
