Why/how should the US regulate financial innovation whose cause and effects are self-contained within the execution of the software? Securities, commodities laws encode meatspace constraints, but tokens let you do this with software directly. Should the US care beyond basic fraud/misrepresentations made to/from USAoors

To what extent is the USG willing to accept a “loss of control” over the financial system in order to “grow the pie”? The internet required this too, but for crypto it feels like govt is both more aware, and “money” is harder to let go of than information.

I think the most important questions surround minimizing friction to crypto native capital formation - accredited investor rules - rules for issuing stables - stance on kyc/aml as it pertains to crypto wallets, etc
