Genuinely curious — what do people think of Harris not having done an interview or press conference since becoming the presumptive nominee?

But the fact that people are like “it’s smart”

Technically speaking any vote for Biden in the primary was also cast for Harris. So she’s not unelected.

They ran as a ticket. So it quite literally was a vote for both in the primary. At any point she could succeed him in the line of succession. Not really sure what Influence has to do with it.

If you’re arguing that people had to vote for Biden and thus her because they had no other option but Trump, then sure.

That's reaching tbh. It was not an election for Harris. Voters voted 1. Against Trump 2. For Democrat Party 3. For Biden, in that order. She had zero influence on the vote.

Agreed. Most people don’t realize that in U.S. politics the parties get to control their own nomination procedures. 

Democrats across the country voted for delegates, empowering them to vote, they plan to vote Harris.
