Genuinely curious — what do people think of Harris not having done an interview or press conference since becoming the presumptive nominee?

smart. She’s being defined by he crowds and the memes rather than the media. Her team must feel like she needs a bit of time to get comfortable in the role of nominee before she’s ready. It’s paying off well right now and because she’s doing so well in the public there’s not much pressure on her to do ofherwise. She will eventually though.

Makes me furious Not just the fact that she’s hiding But the fact that people are like “it’s smart” Are you so hopelessly partisan that you don’t care your nominee is unelected and unaccountable? What else are you willing to overlook in the name of”sAvInG dEmOcRaCy”

Don’t really care. We should be voting on policy over years not showmanship over days. I have a bigger issue with how she got the nomination than her press run

Ask me again after the Dem convention. Her team has had a pretty short period of time to complete her presidential platform. I think the last thing you wanna do is get in front of trained journalist who are going to try to pick you apart. If you don’t have a thoughtful and thorough explanation of what it is exactly that you’re running on you could lose everything. The pull numbers are astronomical compared to Biden, she’s filling stadiums, news reports are positive, so I’m not really seeing what the incentive is for her to try to get into a one on one and potentially lose control of her narrative to appease a few critics who thinks she’s running scared. If anything, she can come out really strong, incredibly prepared and take all of those criticisms and put them to rest with a single well timed interview. At least that would make the most to me. It becomes even more powerful post conference provided it goes well. Politics comms is all about momentum

good move on her end imo - I think people will get over a delayed media presence but she reallly can’t mess the first one up or else she’ll be flamed hard Probably best for her to take time and be ready

A candidate who can’t clearly articulate their policy plans or defend them when asked on the spot is not worth considering in my book.

To her advantage. She seems to have difficulty forming an opinion off-the-cuff.

She's been pretty busy on the campaign trail and has taken a couple random questions from reporters. I suspect she'll do one soon, but she's also been meeting directly with voters/supporters as part of her campaigning so I'm not really bothered at this point considering she's got catching up to do.

She is building momentum, doing rallies and letting Trump self destruct. I’d say it’s working even better than one could have hoped. The time for the press will come.

I’m not concerned. I would expect her to start giving interviews after the convention. Hopefully they will be more informative than the senile ramblings of Trump.

Impressed how well the strategy has done. "Put the candidate in a basement" worked last time too.

Terribly sad. The biggest monopoly we should break is the one both the Dems and the GOP created for themselves. This is why I will be voting RFK without hesitation. I clearly do not agree with everything he has to say but man, if there is one guy in the arena trying things, it's him and for that he's earned by respect... and my vote!
