I feel like you can tell a lot about a person based on how much they let their dog sniff things while they are taking them for a walk

Don’t judge me please. I really wanna train him but my heart is telling me to let him enjoy and be free to do what he want sometimes :(

I love seeing when dogs enjoy and be free, smelling is how they sense the world!

Ohhhh it’s the opposite, yay!! Cause my sister always scolds me cause i’m letting him free too much when we walk cause apparently they want him to just walk by their side all the time :(

Dogs get more stimulation and mental exhaustion from smelling. It's how they experience things. Just walking exercises their bodies, but smelling simulates their mind. Teaching a dog discipline so they can calm their mind and stay by your side when it matters is important. But let the dogs sniff too!

It’s much better for the doggies to let them stop and sniff. It’s more enriching than the walking

I think it's more a commentary on my end that I feel like I can tell a lot about people's personalities based off this :P
