Took the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Utsunomiya for the day which was a nice break from the extreme urbanscape of Tokyo. Walked through Oya quarry and bought a little succulent planter made from (allegedly) the mined stone. Grabbed some gyoza where every shop had lines wrapped around the block.

In 2022, I decided to start a newsletter, but I wasn't sure about the topic or my expertise. Despite my doubts, I felt the need to begin. I remember writing my first draft while traveling to Nagoya on the Shinkansen. There's something uniquely romantic and stimulating about writing on a train(Story for another time lol). However, after posting my first piece, I deleted it out of nervousness and shame about my English and abilities.

In the summer of 2023 (2nd attempt) I decided to quit Kraken and stop making excuses. I wanted to start writing and checking things off my bucket list.
