If you tried requesting an invite in the past and didn't get one, please try again in this thread. We rely on Warpcast's reply notifications, and sometimes replies don't get surfaced. Seems to get worse with a stale thread, so I made a fresh one. The bar for an invite is not high, anyone who writes a polite coherent reply gets an invite. :) Think of it as an opportunity to show how interesting and diverse our growing community is. If we missed you, please ping one of the mods.

ethereum allows people to become more empowered to operate outside of the institutions that continually exploit us and let us down, and to build trustless alternatives even if blockchain-based systems never became the norm, institutions will have to compete with decentralized alternatives for their survival, creating positive benefits for everyone i believe that ethereum’s focus should be on creating positive change through innovating, and through shifting the overton window around what’s possible and what’s acceptable for the human race

The answer is 42 obviously, but another purpose of Ethereum allowing everyone to have confidence in a complex, digitised, globalised world. Rather than locking in and exploiting users, its apps put the individual first. It keeps all those background processes in check you shouldn’t need to worry about.

Believe it or not, I love the way Ethereum is building out. The neutral focus when everybody around it is pleading for it to make short term moves that make numbers go up feels like Ethereum stands for something. Idk if eth ever goes 10k and im not even sure id say eth is good money, but I believe it’ll be the chain that brings sustained innovation .

Hola @shazow.eth — as the founder of the first mainstream Web3 media DAO built on Ethereum @coinage I think Ethereum's vision should be empowering decentralization across all media niches. It's the tech that enables just that :) Would love to be able to join the channel

Hey, good morning! I’d love an invite to join here and share my insights, updates, and analysis with the community. I’ve been trading and developing in the market for over six years now. As for the question you asked, it’s clear that Ethereum is a general-purpose blockchain. If Web3 and blockchain adoption continue to grow, Ethereum will likely be the main platform for development and deployment because it’s designed with that in mind. However, there are two main challenges: 1) deployment costs and 2) deployment complexity. These are the areas Ethereum needs to improve on—making it as easy and cost-effective as possible for developers to deploy on the network. Fortunately, Ethereum Layer 2 solutions are already addressing these issues.

Ethereum, to me, is about creating a fairer, more open world where people can take control of their money, data, and ideas without relying on big companies or middlemen. It’s a platform where anyone can build tools for things like managing money, making decisions as a group, or creating unique digital items. For my community, it’s an opportunity to break down barriers, give people more access, and build systems that work better for everyone. It’s not just tech, it’s about changing how we connect and work together globally.

Ethereum enables humanity to build intermediary-free system. It's purpose should be to transition humanity from: - monopolism -> pluralism - privilege -> meritocracy - extraction -> mutuality

Ethereum should serve as the world’s open and permissionless computer that not only hosts a robust app layer, but a robust cultural layer that allows it’s impact to proliferate across diverse economies and communities around the world.

Ethereum is an ecosystem that allows people to build what they want, how they want, when they want, with no restraint. This is why I've pivoted my career to build products in this space. Simply put, it allows for dreamers to build unrestrained.

Ethereum and the economy on-chain are game changers for African communities, from growth and creativity to independence; this is a pathway to opening so many avenues of development. This makes access to financial services possible, from savings, loans, and investment with no banks required. Thus, anyone in whatever area will actually experience financial inclusion. It equips creators to turn their arts, music, and ideas into NFTs, connecting them with international markets to create real value. Cross-border payments are faster and cheaper, turbocharging trade and connectivity across the continent and beyond. Further, blockchain transparency inspires trust, while DAOs let communities pool together, fund projects, and solve their own problems. Even in times of economic uncertainty, stablecoins offer a way to preserve value and stay ahead. Ethereum is not about the technology but empowering African communities with ownership, audacious innovation, and a future that empowers one another with shared success.

I want Ethereum to be a platform where anyone can start a business by deploying some smart-contracts and compete on equal terms with whatever has already been built. Main purpose should be payments. It is nice to be able to send money "wallet-to-wallet" without bothering to check bank or country of the recipient.

To me, Ethereum's vision should be to become a truly decentralized and scalable platform for global financial inclusion and innovation. This means enabling anyone, anywhere to access and participate in a borderless and permissionless financial system. It also means providing a foundation for new and innovative applications that can transform industries and improve people's lives. I believe that Ethereum has the potential to be a powerful force for good in the world. It can help to create a more just and equitable society by giving everyone a fair chance to participate in the global economy. There are many challenges that need to be overcome before it can reach its full potential. These challenges include scalability, security, and usability. I am confident that Ethereum will continue to grow and evolve in the years to come. I believe that it has the potential to become one of the most important technologies of the 21st century.
