Pre-kids I would have said beachfront, now I would say spacious house. You need a car to bring all the shit kids need for the beach anyway 😆

just closed on a house this week, I guess my beachfront equivalent. city, but not the heart of it, walk score 90ish, nowhere near the space I grew up on, but checks off other things that matter more to me nowadays.

Overgeneralizing, I think the biggest factor to this question is family planning (children, multi generation, etc). Younger me would do beachfront, current (small family me) enjoys the luxury of space.
