EIP-7503 would be one of the most bullish things to ever happen for Ethereum if it was implemented. Private ETH transfers on mainnet that can then be replicated on EVM layer 2's. The holy grail.

I love the idea of selling EIP-7503 as an L2 native bridging solution as to not startle the anti-privacy folks πŸ˜„ That's a fun angle I hadn't considered before.

I don’t yet know what this means but I can’t wait to listen to a Refuel explanation.

1. You can do this with a wrapped ETH token, or even better, wrapped staked-ETH token, today, no EIP required. rETH for example can migrate to a contract that supports this. 2. Adding this to ETH will mean a huge amount of trust in the code and math. Bugs may mean someone can mint free ETH, and we will have no way of knowing it. Unlike regular exploits, we may not know we've been hacked. Something similar happened with zcash (probably only by the good guys). I'm not saying this is a bad idea, I am saying I would like to see it implemented on a token first, and probably formal verification in addition to bug-bounty and multiple audits.

This is beautiful! Simple and powerful. However @sassal.eth in order to mint the burned ETH in other L2s, there must be a Nullifier mechanisms among chains, which does not seem easy to implement (since it must be atomic somehow). But for anonymizing ETH within the same chain, its just great.
