golden handcuffs innit though tbh i think a lot of tech jobs at like big tech and unicorns are both high paying and pretty enjoyable your cast i think applies to more trad roles in finance consulting etc.

One thing I learned when I was up for a job like that and was telling people about it is that people will do anything for that salary no matter how disgusting or immoral. It made me so blackpilled. If you are a billionaire you could pay someone 200k/yr — or less — to have someone take every shit in their hand and eat it, and people would beg to do this
