Bitcoin is more than 3x the value of Ethereum. While the race is long, Ethereum has had 10 years and hasn't yet achieved the flippening, the closest it came was in ICO mania of 2017 - ancient history by crypto standards. ETH bulls - do you still believe in the flippening?

In my view it was always a pointless meme. Flipping BTC has no bearing on ETH’s own trajectory. Even the ratio (as a measure of whether ETH remains in lockstep with BTC) is a distraction given the very different paths and utility that both blockchains have adopted over the years.

Ethereum has much more demand for its blockspace. It doesn't have miner sell pressure. It has a fee burn. It actually has a plan to scale that is working. What has Bitcoin got? The fact that your grandma has heard of it? That may matter now but it won't for long.

Does it really matter? Both chains/currencies have value. They offer quite different services. Apples to oranges in my opinion.

I feel that Ethereum has Second City Syndrome. I have never payed attention to Bitcoin except when Ethereans cry about the ratio. I don't really have a belief one way or another about the flippening. It might happen, it might not. That doesn't change my investment thesis about ETH.

It’s probably healthier for both assets to stay in the current order, with way higher price each over the long run, ofc. ETH benefits from BTC being #1 IMO Flippening would point to either a significant issue with BTC, or ETH being very overvalued. Thoughts?

BTC ETFs are a big deal. My closest way to invest in crypto in my retirement account is through BTC ETFs (and so do tens of millions of others..).. I believe in the value of the tech

Flippening requires Ethereum to have great UX and it also requires the liquidity fragmentation problem to be solved, either by shared sequencing tricks or just by good bridges and so on

Honestly I don’t really care, all tides rising is fine by me. ETH whether it flippins BTC or not, needs to upend the traditional financial system. That’s what I care about.
