This mask blocks AI facial recognition. The right to encrypt your face. I wonder how many “free democracies” will make things like this illegal in the coming years. Without encryption we’re all just sitting ducks for totalitarian autocrats.

it's actually crazy that polymarket has proven so useful as a truth finding protocol it's broadcast on CNN and added to bloomberg terminals yet U.S. citizens are geoblocked from using it due to stupid regulation. The US is so backwards on crypto.

ETH is money. The Ethereum economy with its tokens & defi & L2s will someday measure in the hundreds of trillions. Across this vast economy there be only one asset w/ the deepest liquidity & settlement - a censorship resistant store of value. 2016 - ETH is money for blockspace 2017 - ETH is money for ICOs 2018 - ETH is money for tokens 2019 - ETH is money for loans 2020 - ETH is money for DeFi 2021 - ETH is money for NFTs 2023 - ETH is money for blobspace 2024 - ETH is money for L2s ETH has always been money. "Investors don't understand ETH is money" Money is a store of value, medium of exchange, and unit of account. Money is an adjective. ETH is the most money asset in the ETH economy. By the time the ETH economy is measured in trillions investors will understand. "ETH needs a new narrative" No. Grow the Ethereum economy. As the economy grows so will ETH. Scale L2s, scale DeFi, scale tokens, scale users. Scale into every corner of the internet. First, ETH is money. Then, money is ETH.

I've seen ETH sentiment this bad three times. 2016 - after the DAO hack they said smart contracts will never work but tokens were about to be a killer app 2019 - two years of bleeding they said ETH was a worthless gas token but DeFi was building And now... 2024 - a half cycle of underperformance they're saying ETH is old tech and L2s are parasitic but Ethereum is on the cusp of becoming a federated union of chains It's once again unpopular to believe ETH is money. Lovely opportunity. Contrarian bullish is how you earn the gains.

Ethereum is a property rights system for machines. Humans first, yes. But bots will be the main users. You think an AI agent can walk into a bank branch an open an account? Ethereum will bank the unbanked. The machines will be bankless.

I'm hoping the United Chains of Ethereum looks something like this in its end state. Many successful chain economies. No power law winning L2.

Max Resnick is MLGA - a new sect of Ethereum that wants to Make L1 Great Again. He thinks Ethereum has made a mistake by "giving up" on L1 and pushing everything to L2s. I asked if he was trying to start an ETH civil war because his takes are...spicy. But, is he right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLUJ0uLye0U

My base case is strong Q4 and crypto rocket in 2025 to ATH's. But...there's a another theory. We may be in the show me phase of crypto. There's a fair chance new investors won't hop aboard until crypto shows them the apps. This building phase - may last months - but it could last years. It took amazon 10 years to reach ATH after the dotcom bust. Be prepared for either outcome.

Arresting Pavel Durov in France. Making VPN access of Twitter illegal in Brazil. Jailing Tornado Cash developer in the Netherlands. The honeymoon between governments and the internet is over - they now want control. If it's not decentralized it will be controlled or killed.

Everyone is way too bearish on ETH. L2s are longterm good for ETH. ETH is an incredible store of value asset. Ethereum is the root of trust for DeFi. While others are building NASDAQ with APIs Ethereum is building a global property rights system. League of its own.

If you are the one making VPNs illegal, you are the bad guy. How is this up for debate.

Trumps pro-crypto policy is A+ Him selling NFTs is whatever - people can buy silly collectibles if they want. But i hope to God this worldliberty thing doesn’t turn into a massive Machinsky style grift - we don’t need this. Why can’t we have nice things.

The SEC is now planning to sue OpenSea under the claim that NFTs are securities. So yes Ritchie Torres, apparently Gary Gensler does think tokenized pokemon cards are securities. OpenSea is now the 6th American born crypto success story under attack by SEC this year - they're now attacking the FANNG of American crypto: Metamask OpenSea Coinbase Kraken Uniswap RobinHood Call them MOCKUR because Gensler is mocking your constitutional right to own crypto. In attacking our most wholesome and legitimate companies they are attacking everyday U.S. citizens. This is all happening under the Biden administration and factions in the white house are orchestrating it. They want to kill crypto in the U.S. The audacity of the Biden administration (should we call it the Harris administration?) doing this less than 90 days before the election cannot be overstated. If they're now suing their 6th crypto company pre-election when our leverage is greatest what are they planning to do to crypto post election?

Say someone deploys Tornado Cash to Solana, NK uses Sol-Tornado to anonymize recently stolen SOL, U.S. Treasury adds these SOL addresses to OFAC sanction list, and notifies major SOL validators, along with Solana Foundation, and Jito. What's next - is Solana now censored? Ok, now same question for L2s...take Arbitrum. Someone deploys Tornado to Arbitrum, NK uses it to anonymize recently stolen ETH, U.S. Treasury adds ETH addresses to OFAC sanction list, and notifies Arbitrum Foundation & Offchain Labs who runs the sequencer. Is Arbitrum now censored? Of course, all this has already basically happen on Ethereum and Ethereum has currently maintained strong censorship resistance...but could Solana...could today's L2s?

We gotta some using terms like "Invalid State Changes" when we talk about to normies about decentralization. They don't get it. Decentralization protects you from bad people having the ability to: - Freeze - Inflate - Steal - Censor the things you own. The more decentralized a blockchain the more protection. The more protection, the more value you can store on the chain. Chains like Bitcoin & Ethereum can protect things from FISC even from nation states.
