For the Daimo users: Why do you prefer Daimo for p2p payments over solutions (Rainbow wallet, Coinbase account, etc.)? I have some assumptions but curious if it's more of a preference than a big leap in utility.

I like that Daimo is about being excellent at p2p payments.

For now mostly a good L2 Schelling point for onchain payments. Longer term: - wallets / CEXs vs daimo: similar to web browsers vs purpose-built apps: specialization enables better UX, much more "normie friendly". - non-crypto payment apps vs daimo: global interoperability, native integration with rest of crypto

I suspect its something to do with it doing one thing, and only one thing, very well: transfers of USDC. Single purpose software like Daimo is a good example of the MAYA design principle in practice

I use Rainbow and even tho Ik it had payments capability, I really just think of it as a means for interacting with dapps/minting NFTs

It's just the shiny new toy people are playing with. Let's see if it's relevant in 3 months.

For me, same reason I typically use Apple Cash or Venmo rather than Paypal
