One thing overlooked until really using the smart wallet and I haven’t seen it mentioned elsewhere is how it being web based makes crypto apps on mobile a real possibility again. The EOA UX was just too jarring but this is smooth. @moshicam a prime example.

Anyone know of charities allow for donations of crypto via a wallet address on Base? I was thinking of having a portion of proceeds of a project be donated. I found Charity Water accepts ETH. As I went to look at the address on etherscan I realized mainnet wouldn't do it. 😞

Somebody sought me out on twitter to ostensibly buy an old nft I have. After negotiating price, they linked to a an x2y2 fake site that I expect would drain my wallet. WE ARE SO BACK, BABY! 🤣

Interfaces reinforce gap based on response confidence and being good at providing an answer that “looks good”. Need better UX and constrained scope.

Saw @jessepollak and @barmstrong just now talking about Brian writing some smart contracts for the first time. My recent experience building with AI crutches to facilitate after decades not being a software eng has been amazing. AMAZING experience! There has never been a better time to build.

It's fascinating to watch the proliferation of wallets approach the inevitable conclusion of white labeled experiences like vanity credit cards. Your university of choice will have a branded crypto wallet using someone else's tech and they get a small percentage of swap fees off of.

So much of gen AI is really search 2.0. Having a notion of the training data so you can understand the dimensions it can synthesize on is helpful. It also helps you to not be disappointed. It is absolutely amazing what it can help YOU create by extrapolating from so much data, but I wouldn't call it “smart”.

Build leaderboard puts the focus in the wrong place IMO. Truly a big fan of everything @jessepollak is doing but I think he'd agree, he doesn't need more build. Instead, it'd be great to nudge lesser known builders into the spotlight. Nominating someone unranked and explaining their contributions could be incentivized.

The NFTs I like the most now are the ones I enjoyed initially for their own sake. They are the things I had no hope would make money fall from the sky. This, I imagine, is the appeal of punks. There's no team to be disappointed with. It is what it always was and, if I've chosen well, what it always will be. #onchain

I forgot how much of building software is banging your head against a wall as you tweak and debug and google for answers until after many hours you figure it out and learn some new thing about how things work or some gotcha to be aware of that you will NEVER EVER forget.

Chatgpt letting me down on implementing wagmi on the frontend. All well and good with stable platforms but if the model training was done before the latest major release, you're going to get a lot of deprecated recs from it. Ask me how I know. 😢

Working on a project with the help of chatgpt. Get to contract deployment and chatgpt says add private key to the config. "A text file? On my HD? Ugh...?" After some ancillary querying, spinning up a new deployer wallet makes more sense. The tools are powerful but you still gotta keep your hands on the wheel.
