We’re breaking up with likes 💔 Likes were an experiment. They were nice, but didn’t do much for creators or the network. Rodeo is about collecting—turning appreciation into real ownership. So, we’re simplifying. Like it? Collect it or make an offer.

Not a bad decision. Never used likes really, rather left a comment if I wanted to show my appreciation to the artist besides collecting.

I actually really enjoyed likes! and thought that made rodeo more of an Instagram competitor rather than only a zora competitor. also I don't have nearly enough funds to actually buy all the work I appreciate, but it is still nice to be able to show love.

As an artist, seeing that folks who may not have the funds to collect my work still enjoyed a post enough to interact with the like button was always a nice gesture. Perhaps a solution is to allow artists a choice to toggle the requirement for a token-gated financial barrier for comments, allowing for more conversations and community building.

I really liked Likes, as a way to show support when I don’t have credits, but more importantly to show respect for the work even though I wouldn’t add it to my collection, which is a specific aesthetic/vibe. I used Likes judiciously. Really disappointed to see them gone. Hope you reconsider.

Likes, a remnant of Web 2.0 social media, have been replaced by collects in Web3. The future of the internet will look nothing like what came before it, best to stop recreating old failed models 💫

I don’t think I pushed liked on single rodeo, I have been collecting, saving, and following.

I felt likes are way to show support for the artist even if there aren't enough funds to collect. I appreciated just getting likes, it is more than nothing.

The only interest I've seen in them is to be able to estimate a collect per views ratio but they weren't used enough for it but analytics would replace it well
