what if bots on farcaster are a feature and not a bug? in fortnite, they fill lobbies with some bots instead of real players so that even new players get the satisfaction of beating someone. this increases playtime and retention of players and could work the same way for farcaster users, it’s all game design.

Maybe if you’re new to social media as a concept and need an ego boost. And unlike in video games, there’s no lobby in social where seasoned players can avoid the bots. And argue that for the majority of people on FC, we don’t benefit from whatever role bots play in the feed.

agreed. one has to assume as we approach the singularity that bots will be very helpful beyond notifications tho it also means we will have more nefarious bots that are smarter than replying with nonsense and a rando image fun times ahead 25 $DEGEN

Many people mix up bot with “spam accounts” - in the world of automation which is where we are all heading - bots are useful. For example the tip bots, my product bot etc…

If it ever gets to a point, anywhere, where it feels like most interactions are with bots, I will leave the bots to chat amongst themselves. I value connection with humans too much. What's the point of social media if it's just bots? Like you could just talk to ChatGPT, why have a whole platform 🤣

I kinda agree. I love killing bots on fortnite btw, but here on Farcaster if I have 0 likes 0 interactions I feel I failed, when I have little @sjhcasjhas replying to it with a random quote i don't feel that alone...
