Remains to be seen what Apple is cooking but Meta is building up a sizable lead in VR/AR hardware, and hardware is hard af Very non trivial

Longstanding hardware success under one of those namesโlong developing the biggest standard of AR frameworks as well. The other name? What is it?

It seems like a no-brainer that Apple will connect their headsets to the iPhone via bluetooth as a form of remote compute, drastically reducing the weight and increasing the battery life of the device. Would be a wild form of competitive advantage when it launches.

Apple has hardware/software integrations with their chips that give them a very unfair advantage. Meta has done a lot to further the space, but Appleโs ecosystem of devices canโt be overlooked. I consider AirPods to be Appleโs under-the-radar AR platform.
