It seems like a no-brainer that Apple will connect their headsets to the iPhone via bluetooth as a form of remote compute, drastically reducing the weight and increasing the battery life of the device. Would be a wild form of competitive advantage when it launches.

I agree with your take on the shape but imo unless they make chips in the glasses work well enough to do a bunch of computation locally, it won’t work. Bluetooth is a v low bandwidth signal for stuff like this. First few Apple Watch had the same issue and newer chips improved it
