I think the Farcaster registration cost is the highest drop off stage of the funnel - most users don't have enough proof of value The highest leverage opportunity right now is figuring out how to increase the perceived value to the user before getting them to pay; other apps use the freemium model for this problem

One possible approach is a trial period or read-only version. The former is susceptible to bots tho, I like the latter a lot: lurking is free

agree - lurking is free should be possible today on web and most clients; although not warpcast iOS. Perhaps it should be - including watching casts

This is basically Guest Mode U3 is building. We even allow user to follow users and channels. Just do not allow posting before they signup

its important that users experience the core value within the 'free trial' timeframe. In the case of farcaster that's probably casting and receiving a like / reply in response. A read-only version wouldn't allow people to experience the core value
