Anyone here run their own mail server? Seems almost impossible to self host email these days. If anyone has a working, easy solution I would love to hear it. I really would love to setup my own email server. All I see are horror stories. https://twitter.com/levelsio/status/1845483654727790921

I've been running an iRedmail server for years. I think it's probably the easiest way to run your own mail server these days, but setup is still a lot of work. But I have never needed to touch it after the initial setup. https://iredmail.com/download.html

the most important thing is have reverse DNS delegation meaning you can set DNS records pointing from the IP address of the server sending the email, to a domain name that you're sending from once you have that + DMARC + DKIM + SPF then the system will trust you

We offer setups, either doing it for you on a VPS, or guiding you through a Mailu setup on your own: https://simplifiedprivacy.com/email-cloud-combo/index.html If it's blacklisted as spam, we'll give you your money back.

This phenomenon is ubiquitous—Gmail and the other major mail services all seem to treat emails from independently-hosted servers as per se serious security hazards with little if any nuance

Did it, but was too much pain, to do and to maintain. You have to much things to do and keep in a good phase. So instead, I delegate that to proton. Work like a charm.
