It may be my fault, but I feel that Linux (Ubuntu to be precise) has become admin-hostile. Take for example networking. 20 years ago, a newbie would spend hours, maybe days, to understand how interfaces, ips, subnets, firewall rules work. But then, it would be trivial to set up and troubleshoot your machine. Today, the same guy, after having lived a lifetime in Linux, can't find the way to change the nameservers on a Ubuntu VPS, or his Raspberry Pi. Is there a any Linux distribution out there, that doesn't try to make a user's life "simple", and expects that users work in the command line and not the GUI?

On the X app, I have to resort to what I call tactical browsing — carefully avoiding some threads not because they aren’t somewhat interesting in that moment, but because opening them will tell the algo to feed me more of that content. The diet analogy is that I might enjoy some greasy comfort food right about now, but there’s a chef watching what I pick and he’ll feed me only that going forward. It’s a mental burden having to constantly worry about what to read or like. I appreciate not having that concern on Warpcast

I am going to experiment with launching a Clanker focused on the one major news story of that day. The question is how to add more content and details to Clanker. It could be done by using a screenshotted paragraph summary as the header image, though that doesn't really pop. Thinking on it... First one for now: South Korea's attempted military coup.
