For those who workout in the early morning, what steps do you take before you get to the gym to make it a successful session??

I go to bed 9:15-9:45 most nights, I naturally wake up at 5:15-5:30, I do my NYTimes wordl, connections in bed, I do 25 minutes of Yoga (6am) then do 45 minutes of weights (6:30). The hardest part... just getting outta bed. That's it, no trick, just get your feet out from under the covers and you 90% there!

The way to make any gym session successful is to have a training plan with defined goals and attack those goals with purpose. The time of day is pretty irrelevant.

Ideally drink 500ml of water. If I feel hungry, a banana, or full boiled egg or a protein shake (this is extremely rare).

1) Get to bed at reasonable hour 2) Rehydrate immediately upon alarm 3) Get up and go straight there, no distractions

the only step I take is scheduling my FaceTime trainer to ensure I am forced to wake up or waste the money for the appointment 🫑
