Is Solana an example of a monolithic blockchain? If so, do you think it's going to face these problems when scaling?

Excellent post. CT seems have swung hard against this thesis lately, and I get it - it’s a simple, digestible narrative to argue against “fragmentation”. This “feature not a bug” reframing is a much higher level of clarity of where we’re aiming.

Do you see a future where we end up with a "mega rollup" that has a parallelized execution env. and can process all the transactions we want? Perhaps something like a parallelized EVM rollup.

Any leads on how validity proofs help scale horizontally (solving the so called liquidity fragmentation problem)?

I agree on a longer term horizon but I do think that monolithic ecos are currently (likely for only a short window as you mention) in a better position to try and leverage their abundant blockspace towards useful applications... feels like a pipe dream sometimes that we get there though

Aside from tezos, what other chain ecosystems do you find interesting from an architectural POV that you think don’t get enough attn from the research & technical community?

“We need nodes at homes, schools, government offices - in large cities, in villages, in Chile, in Papua New Guinea, and eventually in space.” Amen. Personally I’m excited about getting them in nonprofit offices and community centers. Grassroots Economics is doing great work on this front in Kenya.

The cost of running a node is higest in bitcoin. But Bitcoin right now is the most decentralised, more then even ethereum. According to your article, are you suggesting that bitcoin is not a good blockchain because of its node cost?

@trustlessstate why are you marketing SOL? Mentioning it multiple times in every episode. They are gaslighting about current tps, scaling plans and decentralization metrics. Give the light of day to communities with integrity. @rsa.eth please steer Bankless back
