Aside from tezos, what other chain ecosystems do you find interesting from an architectural POV that you think don’t get enough attn from the research & technical community?

I have not been following the L1 world, so it's mostly Tezos, though of course you have interesting projects like Mina or Aleo. It's a tall order getting into the market at this late stage though - even something 5 years old like Tezos has failed to gain any real traction. The only way seems to be shilling narratives
