Just more evidence for what we all know - very few give a fuck about defending a neutral globally accessible system, it's all about greed & whatever pumps your bags

Explicit *non-goals* are:

* Execute some kind of ideological / vibez pivot from feminized wef soyboy mentality to bronze age mindset
* Start aggressively lobbying regulators and powerful political figures (esp in USA, but really anywhere, especially large powerful countries), and risking compromising Ethereum's position as a global neutral platform
* Become an arena for vested interests
* Become a highly centralized org, or even more of a "main character" within Ethereum

These things aren't what EF does and this isn't going to change. People seeking a different vision are welcome to start their own orgs.

The investor base is in the USA, with better government clarity on crypto and the on/off ramp is easily accessible compared to other regions, except Europe. On top of that, there is a brain drain. But I agree with pump my bag and ignoring rest. I think, its only gonna get worse as we move into hype cycle fueled by the inauguration. 

All we need is a long bear market to flush everything out.

In a sense it could prove to be the ultimate test of the tech’s fundamental aspirations of capture-resistance, ie if it can’t resist these kinds of geoeconomic forces, then it isn’t suitable as neutral global infra anyway.

decentralization should mean resisting capture, no matter the country. greed keeps blinding the mission of a truly neutral system.

The whole ‘neutral, global system’ pitch feels like a joke when it turns into a flag-waving competition. At the end of the day, it’s just greed in a different outfit.. pump first, principles later.
